New Zealand Home Loans has been operating in Christchurch since 1998. Allan Sexton joined as a New Business Consultant in 2001, after experiencing being a New Zealand Home Loans client since 2000. Rachael couldn’t resist the urge to help New Zealand families and joined in 2004.
Allan and Rachael took over the original Christchurch office in 2008, committing themselves more to their thousands of clients, and team of dedicated consultants. Through “stable and unstable” times Rachael, Allan and their team continue to share New Zealand Home Loans vision with passion and enthusiasm to help Cantabrians get ahead.

Safe to say we weren’t let down as they helped us move away from our previous fixed mortgage with ease. Over the years Rach was always there to help. Immediately after the Canterbury earthquakes in September 2010 Rach rang to check we were all okay. Despite the house being red zoned and our outlook uncertain she was positive throughout and in the 15 months to follow. All of this enabling us into our 2nd family home without any hassle. The follow up and reviews offered by NZHL are fantastic. The kids especially loved the cupcakes and lollies that would magically jump out of Rach’s bag! An additional service offered by NZHL was insurance. Despite being initially worried that the extra cost was unnecessary we were soon very grateful to have taken Rach’s advice. After a health scare in 2014 and talking to Rach, she helped initiate and follow through the entire claim process with an outcome we would never have expected. We can strongly recommend the friendly, personal service of NZHL and the importance of personal insurance."

A very stressful time, but with Allan’s help I was able to understand a way forward with NZHL that immediately removed the financial pressure. The solution wasn’t just about a loan amount, but also about how to manage my monthly costs and track my progress to match my commitments at the time. Seven years on and I am on track to pay my mortgage off, an incredible 14 years earlier than if was still with my original bank. I would absolutely recommend New Zealand Home Loans to anyone, personally I can’t see why anyone would go with a conventional bank loan. Allan and his team are very genuine people who work with you to get your loan paid off as soon as possible. "My partner and I approached New Zealand Home Loans 10 days before we had to go unconditional on a home we so wanted to buy. We had both banked with a large “Australian” bank all our lives, had numerous previous mortgages and never defaulted on a repayment, however, we did not meet their strict “rules” under their new loan criteria. We approached Allan Sexton in Christchurch New Zealand Home Loans upon a recommendation from a friend. Right from the start we felt very reassured. He went to great length to explain how their service worked, and assured us that he’d be able to make it happen, which he did. And our situation was complicated. Split mortgage, and other investment properties. I’m sure our file is one of the fattest in the cabinet. But nothing was a problem with Allan, and since then, nothing ever is. Any contact is welcomed and service professionalism is outstanding. My favourite feature of New Zealand Home Loans service is the ability to keep a constant track of my accounts through their debtnav website. So when I repay some extra on the home loan, I can go to debtnav and see that my repayment time has reduced by X amount of days, weeks, months or years. I find this a great incentive to save. So thanks Allan, for having faith in us and for your most approachable follow up service. This is a company that is a pleasure to deal with."
