Meet Mikaela, your local adviser

Mikaela Eagles has been helping clients achieve their home ownership and financial goals with NZ Home Loans for the past seven years. Since beginning her journey with NZHL Rotorua in 2019 as an Administrator, Mikaela has completed her New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) and progressed into her role as a Mortgage and Insurance Adviser.

Having navigated the property journey herself – from purchasing a first home, to selling, buying land, and building a family home – Mikaela understands the excitement, challenges, and decisions that come with every stage of home ownership. This personal experience, combined with her industry knowledge, allows her to guide clients with confidence and empathy.

Now raising a young family of her own, Mikaela is passionate about making the lending and insurance process simple, stress-free, and easy to understand. She takes pride in helping individuals, couples, and families create financial strategies that support their lifestyle goals while building long-term financial security. Her dedication to achieving great outcomes for clients has seen her consistently rank among NZHL’s Top 10 New Business Advisers nationwide for several years running.

Outside of work, Mikaela enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding her horse, camping, and exploring New Zealand’s great outdoors.
