XRACE is back for 2026, and NZHL is proud to continue its long-standing partnership with this iconic family adventure series. Now in its 11th year as title sponsor, NZHL remains committed to supporting events that bring Kiwi families together, build resilience, and create unforgettable memories.
What is XRACE?
XRACE is a nationwide series of mystery adventure races where a parent and child (aged 6–14) team up to complete ten unique challenges. From dance-offs and sack races to memory games and physical puzzles, each event is designed to foster teamwork, confidence, and connection. No screens, no shortcuts—just real-world fun that celebrates effort, sportsmanship, and family spirit.
2026 Event Highlights
The 2026 season kicks off in Cambridge on January 23 and wraps up in Auckland on March 22, with thirteen events across the country, including:
- Cambridge – Friday, 23 January 2026 at 6 PM
- Devonport – Sunday, 25 January 2026 at 10 AM
- Whangarei – Friday, 30 January 2026 at 6 PM
- New Plymouth – Friday, 6 February 2026 at 6 PM
- Palmerston North – Sunday, 8 February 2026 at 10 AM
- Hutt City – Saturday, 14 February 2026 at 10 AM
- Blenheim – Thursday, 19 February 2026 at 6 PM
- Timaru – Friday, 27 February 2026 at 6 PM
- Christchurch – Sunday, 1 March 2026 at 10 AM
- Napier – Friday, 13 March 2026 at 6 PM
- Tauranga – Sunday, 15 March 2026 at 10 AM
- Hamilton – Saturday, 21 March 2026 at 10 AM
- Auckland – Sunday, 22 March 2026 at 10 AM
