At NZHL, we’re incredibly proud of the positive impact of XRACE on local families. As we mark our 10th anniversary as title sponsors, NZHL has committed to another 3 years of sponsorship.
The current economic environment has strained our communities, businesses, and the events industry, but we are confident 2024 will be bigger and better with 3 additional locations – Taupō, Queenstown, and Dunedin.
From February to April, XRACE runs 16 fun-filled family events (Whangārei to Dunedin) where adults team together with children in a race to complete mystery challenges. With everything from dance sequences to double sack races, knowledge and memory games! No XRACE is ever the same.
Local NZHL business owners, their families, and teams join the XRACE crew to set up the events across the country, running BBQs for charity, a participant prize draw (a Weber BBQ and an Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3 portable speaker*), and providing the Spirit of XRACE sportsmanship awards.
Our involvement with XRACE is more than a sponsorship. It’s about supporting something that brings happiness and positivity to families and connecting with local communities.
XRACE aligns with who we are as a company – passionately Kiwi, national, and regional, with the purpose of facilitating better outcomes for New Zealanders.
The events encourage connection and problem-solving within families to create lasting memories and boost the confidence of Kiwi kids.

Entries open at the start of each XRACE event and will close near the end of that event. Entry is free. One entry per team, per event. To be eligible you must be over 18 and complete the entry form available through a QR code at each XRACE event. Winners will be drawn randomly and announced at the XRACE prizegiving at each event. Prizes will be announced online for wet events. The winner must be in attendance to be eligible to win.
