"We didn’t actually know anything about NZ Home Loan until we met Mhay Faraon about 3 years ago. She came to our house one weekend and extensively discussed the benefit of channelling our funds to reduce the interest payments on our loan. Being a banker myself, I was first sceptical to the idea of moving the loans to a relatively new financial entity especially that our bank was one of the four major banks. Also, thinking of the hassle in doing all the documentation and legal work required to move the loans across, we just couldn’t be bothered. But then, after Mhay’s convincing talk and the assurance of hassle-free work on refinancing the loan, we finally gave in. We never looked backed and we thought that was one of the best decisions we’ve made in putting all our finances right. We are saving a decent money for travel and other discretionary spending and hopefully, on our way to becoming mortgage-free the soonest, if we stay on track with the plan.
