Meet James, your local adviser

James brings more than 25 years of experience in project management and civil consulting to the NZHL team, including several years as a business owner. Alongside his strong business background, he’s also an experienced property investor who has renovated multiple properties, giving him first‑hand insight into the realities of property ownership and investment.

After years working in Auckland and spending time in the United States, James has called the Bay of Plenty home since 2015. When he’s not working, he enjoys good coffee with friends, mountain biking, and exploring the local coastline by sea kayak.

With a growing passion for property and helping others feel confident about their financial future, James made the move into mortgage mentoring and joined NZHL in early 2026. He loves helping people navigate the lending process, whether they’re buying their first investment property or working toward long‑term financial security.
